About Santa Buffet & Grill

Santa Buffet & Grill is one of the chinese buffets listed in Santa Ana, California. The business is registered at 2321 S Bristol St, Santa Ana, CA 92704; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Santa Ana; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (714) 241-1388. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 2,270 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Ana follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food didn't suck. Some tasted good, I was disappointed that they kept the label for pork buns even though there wasn't any. For the last two visits I've had there, the label was set on pork buns but didn't have it. Very disappointing, I know it may sound stupid and silly though honestly that's the only reason I choose to go there. My sister said the pineapple didn't even taste like pineapple. The rest of the food was good, I won't complain about that. Though the customer service wasn't the best. When we walked in, the front lady looked and sounded annoyed, probably a bad day, I won't hold that against her, though there was another who was refilling our drinks, I didn't like how it felt like they were rushing us out. Brought the fortune cookies before we seemed done, after setting down the fortune cookies they tried to take my mother's food while she was in the restroom. When my sister and I were going for desert, we noticed that same server looking at us...not in a kind way. You know, those looks of someone wanting you out. I would understand if it was like a rush hour type of thing but there weren't many people waiting, barely had one small group arrive, there were many tables

Everything was okay until we had the same experience many other's reported about the tip issue. I never carry cash so I always pre-tip during the debit card transaction. The server never spoke a word to us. It would have been nice to ask if we needed anything. I had to ask for water. I had left first to get the car started and my two friends who were visiting from another country came up to me stating that the server was harassing them and demanding a tip. They didn't have any American currency on them which made them feel extra pressured. It was not a good ending to our experience. The food was okay. I did get food poisoning sick the next morning. I can't say it was this place that did it but I did notice some reviews stating the same. I won't be returning to this place because of this. It's a cute place and the food looks decent but the experience was not a positive one.

One of the few remaining affordable buffets that offer Snow Crab Legs (Friday - Sunday only) in OC. I came on a Friday evening, and restaurant was 90% full capacity. Cold crab legs alongside hot fried crabs. Eight flavors of ice cream for dessert. Excellent value for the price!

A variety of good food! But service was kind of horrible. We went on Christmas around an hour before it closed. Unfortunately they raised the price to $25.99+ for everyone on that day (so about $30pp total). Food is good and everything I could think of was there. Teppanyaki sushi seafood too. Most of the things I tried were tasty. Not really impressed that they pressured us even before the closing time. Spacious parking in the lot. Clean restroom. Water is free. Another downside is that they use foam and plastic so everything will go into the bin (it’s very very wasteful as you can imagine this is an AYCE). If I were to rate just for the food, probably 4 stars. I wish they could at least change the utensils.
